Product Pipeline We are actively developing a robust pipeline with multiple product leads with potential clinical applications in the treatment of cancer, proliferative and inflammatory disorders, and infectious diseases. At present, the Company's primary focus is on cancer therapy.
Cancer Positive in vitro and in vivo data have been obtained in cancer cell lines and models for ART Dimers and ART-Peptides, and the Company is currently optimizing the lead formulations for additional safety and efficacy studies. Positive in vitro data have been obtained in cancer cell lines for ART-Iron Chelators. Several compounds are undergoing evaluation in the National Cancer Institute's Developmental Therapeutics Program.
Proliferative and Inflammatory Disorders Positive in vitro data have been obtained in a hyperplasic disease, and the Company is initiating in vitro and in vivo studies in other proliferative and inflammatory disorders.
Infectious Diseases Positive in vitro data have been obtained in bacterial disease cells with an artemisinin conjugate. Both in vitro and in vivo efficacy and safety have been established in malaria for ART Dimers, some of which can cure malaria with a single oral dose. The Company is planning to undertake additional preclinical studies with these compounds in infectious disease models.
